RIP Asperitas

When I went out into the garden at lunchtime today I discovered Asperitas huddled in the run by herself. The rest of the Topknot Gang were out exploring the garden and even Gertie was out pottering around.

Asperitas was out of reach, halfway down the run so I had to move the nest box and reach in to pick her up. She wasn’t very responsive so I gave her a bath and wrapped her in a towel to dry off. To help her warm up and dry, I set her up with a hot water bottle and cuddled her. Sadly she slipped away.

Asperitas was a wonderful addition to the Topknot Gang, always adventurous and happy to keep her buddy Nimbus company as they pottered around the garden. She was always cheeky, keen to be the first to get treats and pushed the others out of the way, making sure she was the first out exploring.

The Topknot Gang and I will miss her!
