Glass transportation and weeding

Yesterday was a momentous day – we took the final load of glass from Nantwich to the allotment (teeth gritted every time we went over a slight bump in the road).

We dumped off the glass before heading home for lunch and planning our afternoon campaign on the unending weeds.

After lunch we decided to tackle the weeds in the top section of the main plot. Two hours later, a sack of potatoes, something approaching a hundred weight in runner beans and several tons of weeds, the top section of the plot was clear.

We grabbed Lottie, Masie and Doris and put them into the overgrown section of the top plot and left them on weed clearing duty. Fiona graduated to carrying and transporting chickens – I promised to put this photo in to display her new prowess with chickens.

Now onto the next section!
