We pottered down to the allotment to do some digging. The soil desperately needs to be broken up ready for the new growing season. We dug over half of the top plot and got rid of the left over veg left in the soil from last year.
We also added some new mulch to the chicken coop to keep them up off the mud and to dry out the soil. The chickens had a whale of a time digging through it and foraging for tasty nibbles.
Fed the chickens and collected 4 eggs – it looks like egg production is almost back to normal levels!
