Ideas and a goodbye

The last few days have seen lots of growing in the allotment – our new plants seem to be growing well so far (still plenty of time for them to die…)

Sadly, we have lost Annie. She has been very unwell the last few days and passed away in the nest box a couple of days ago. So we are really getting quite thin on numbers! We have to hope we get a broody and can try to hatch our own chicks again.

My other half has been feeding and checking on the chickens all week and sent me this at work which made me laugh! Emily is notoriously difficult to catch and she looks distinctly unimpressed.  There are definitely shades of “One is not amused”
