Yet more eggs…

On Friday, I picked up the Welsummer eggs we ordered from the post office! We now have to wait 24 hours for the eggs to rest before putting them under Molly.

Yesterday,  Geoff put the eggs under Molly, and managed almost the entire exchange of old hoarded eggs for the new ones without Molly going totally berserk. 5 new eggs in however, she lost the plot entirely. She stormed off the nest and Geoff beat a hasty retreat. Fortunately, half an hour later she was back on the eggs.

Polly continues to sit on her eggs brilliantly – the blue laced wyandotte eggs are due to hatch on the 24th June, so only a couple of weeks to go! Molly’s eggs should hatch on the 1st July.
