Bee inspection

After minimal sleep last night, I dragged myself down to the allotment to sort out the chickens.

Upon my arrival, I spotted Steve and Phil checking the bees. I quickly suited up and joined in. All the hives are still busy but they are struggling to produce a decent amount of honey. The plan is to start feeding them next week to help them build up their food stores.

Onto the chickens who clucked their disapproval loudly at my tardiness. Evie is still trying to be broody but looks more indifferent to the process today. Fizz finally seems to be sorting out her feathers at last and now resembles a scruffy half bald chicken with weird spikes.

Hoeing and some more weeding tomorrow and the plot should be clear!
