This morning I dashed down to feed the chickens before work. It’s so calm and quiet aside from the dawn chorus. Everything is still and covered with a dusting of dew.
The lupins are starting to come out and I can’t wait to see what they look like when they are fully out.
The chickens were out and ambled over slowly, still half asleep. I sorted their food and dashed off to work.

Now the days are longer I should really make an effort to get up earlier in the day – like you say, so calm and peaceful

It’s definitely worth the effort! The earlier the better really to get the main sunrise and dawn chorus. It’s not often I get there early but it’s lovely when I do!
