Water, water everywhere!

Day two of Storm Christof and the entire allotment site is under several inches of water. There are several plots severely flooded and inevitably, ours is one of them! The last few wet weeks combined with an already high water table has meant the current downpours has flooded vast swathes of the allotment site I have never seen underwater before.

As if to add insult to injury, the temperature plummeted and suddenly the rain turned to snow this evening! A good hour of glorious white dancing snowflakes watched from the comfort of a warm house before realising one of the cats was still outside! Queue a mad dash to the backdoor and let in a terrified feline who seemed to have changed from black to white! Currently, said animal is sulking upstairs and refuses to have anything to do with us. But I suspect once he dries off, we will be forgiven!
