Yesterday we went down to the allotment to sort out the first delivery of back chippings for the chicken coop.
We are trying to make a thick layer of chippings for the floor of the coop to keep the chickens off the mud. Although hopefully in the new coop it will be less muddy.
We have another 4-6 bags to fully cover the floor properly then we can just add the odd bag here and there over the winter.
I emailed Donna, the Chair of our site, asking for permission to plant a tree in our daughter’s memory on site. she has replied to say that they will find somewhere perfect for us to plant a tree of our choice.

We use bark chippings too, they’re fab. It’s lovely that you can plant a tree at the allotments in memory of your daughter. x
