After thinking about the paint on the door all night, and seeing it again this morning, I decided that I really didn’t like the cream colour. Not one bit. It wasn’t going to be one of those things where you grow to like it. The only solution was to go into town, braving the queues and awkward social distancing, to get another tin of paint. We walked into town, grabbed a second tin of the seagrass colour and a tin of sage green.

Upon arriving on site, we said a distant hello to Will, Steve, Geoff, Cliff and the others. We fed the chickens and collected two eggs. The older girls are still refusing to lay a decent number of eggs, or really any number above zero. After a quick check on the weather which was overcast with increasingly dark clouds. We decided to risk it and started painting over the cream. It definitely needs a second coat tomorrow but it looks so much better!

Now you should paint the blue water barrel to coordinate and blend in a bit! Love the shed color and you were definitely right about the door color!

I feel so much better about the door now it’s sage rather than cream! It all needs another coat of paint though. Interesting idea about painting the waterbutt – it’s plastic so it may need a different type of paint
