Early this morning, I walked down to the allotment to find Pop and Leia already up and about. I picked up Pop and put her next to the refilled food bowl. To my astonishment, she stood upright, with her toes and legs correctly placed, seemingly balanced and comfortable for several minutes. It was incredible!

Who would have thought that Pop would be able to stand independently just a few weeks ago? She is still a long way off being fully mobile. But standing fully upright without balancing issues for five minutes is a real achievement. Now much taller, she had some difficulty in reaching down for the food. Nearly three months of having the food at beak height requires almost no effort to reach. Here’s hoping she is soon able to stand for longer and regain her confidence with walking!
